Pot roast is one of the specialties of the BS Bar & Grill, but we cook it in a Dutch oven that we put in the oven and bake at 325. What cut of beef are you using?

My mexican heather has taken a beating in the cold weather this yr. Can I just cut it off even with the ground to get it to come back in the spring?

It's been my experience if you leave it alone, it will come back by itself. No need to cut it back, but if you want to cut it back, I wouldn't cut it to close to the ground! The Mexican heather is a pretty hearty plant.

Hi, VENKIE....sandintoes is right....the Mexican Heather is pretty hardy. It really depends on what part of the country you are in but if you're in Texas it should do fine. I have a bed that I have had about 4 years. Two years I cut it back and two I didn't....it came back very nicely every time. <g>
