I've heard some people live like that. Some people, not me.

Do you think that this'll cause the Hive Command to rethink the electric car mandate?

We saw a little of your traffic while we were there. It was a pleasant surprise though to find that the flight is only three hours, and a quick taxi drive (although expensive- over 30!!!) right to the gates of USC. There is a hotel right there opposite the freshman dorms (the Radisson) that has some kind of connection to the school-- two floors are used as dorm space for seniors. So getting to Ammo won't be hard. I am already getting nervous thinking about getting his stuff there. I have never shipped anything in my life. I am wondering if going there first and buying THERE would be more practical? Or are your prices ridiculous? Can you do some comparison shopping for me? Let's compare Walmart-- towels can be bought here for 4 and 5 dollars. If they are 10 there, I'll know we're in trouble.
Half the things I bought and sent with CW came home at Xmas.
Like the little ironing board and iron.
SOmehow I think the last thing Ammo will do is iron. I'll be pleased if he learns where the laundry is. I wonder if he'll recognize a washing machine.
He thinks of our laundry room as the cat's dining room.
If he happens to find a laundry room he may not realize it and sit in front of the dryer for half an hour waiting for a show to start.
I asked him to choose his color scheme for linens and towels because Sam's had a sale on Ralph Lauren comforters.
Black, he said.
I know what he's thinking. I haven't lived with him for 18 years for nothing.
They STILL will get smelly, I said.
I feel so sorry for his roommate.

We watched that freeway being built while in junior high school. I think fewer than 5,000 people lived in the Santa Ana Canyon at the time. The rustic Santa Ana Canyon Road was the main route to Corona (as if anyone really wanted to go to Corona).

When the Anaheim Hills development began, the Superintendent of Orange Unified said he was not concerned about schools for the area because "they are building $50,000 homes! People who can afford that will not have children." When I asked why they were building so many 4 and 5 bedroom houses, he looked at me like I was a pretty dumb kid.

Now there are more than 250,000 living in that corridor alone, aren't there? Thousands more driving 2-3 hours to work from the Inland Empire, and then repeating the trip every night. Life is too short to spend 20-25% of it sitting in traffic on the freeway.
