I don't want to presume about the Virginia side, but in Maryland, in most of the variations of 95, 65 to 70mph will do. Even on the New Jersey Turnpike, rarely are you forced to go above 70mph.......

Well, you should rethink moving to Victoria, then. Drive 80, even kilometers, and you will quickly amass so many speeding tickets you could build a garage out of them.

Only move to this area if you're prepared to slow down and enjoy the scenery.

PS - by tailgated I assume you mean struck from behind. Not followed to closely, which happens no matter WHAT speed you're driving. I get tailgated the second way even going 25 (the speed limit) in Friday Harbor!
