Bush's honeymoon almost over and he will fall in 2004.
Why? Because this country and the world deserves and needs a lot better. If you don't believe me, I have one word for you "Enron". Bush WAS Enron and vice versa. He will never be able to distance himself nor should be be able to. You take home who you brought to the dance. Enron represents the worst dark side of capitalism and Bush is its creation.

American Spirit,

Kerry's not going to get the nomination. As was the case is 1992, demographics is destiny. The Democrats will only win with a Southern strategy. John Edwards, untainted by scandal to date, is the Dems best hope for the top slot. He's telegenic and appealing. He's being groomed, and I'm not sure what sort of smear campaign the Republicans can mount. Though I'm certain they are working on finding some sin diligently. Just like they took down Ed Muskie, and that Senator from Missouri on a bogus psychological smear a couple decades ago.

***********************************************************
As for how discredited the self-dealing nature of BushFamily Oil Trusts(TM) LLC happens to be, I can only hope that the Democratic mudslingers come out strong on the nature of corruption that completely overwhelms the present Mal-administration with the sour stench of sulphur laden "reserves".

Cheers, Ray

Thoughtful post, well said.

You are mostly right, IMO
I would only disagree that taxing the rich helps, or that Junior does anything but be front-man for Senior.

Our gov't being so awash with cash and secrecy is one of the enticements corruption.

Remove the Beltway parasites, and another half-trillion per year shows up in the public coffers.

Remove the energy parasites and more billions stay in-country to boost our economy.

That will happen with major strengthening of sunshine laws and public disclosure of the public's business.

<<but Gore
has gotten a raw deal and he would definitely have made a better president. So
why not hear him now? He is a wise man with a lot to say.>>

The supposed prototype of the "alpha male" would have made a better president.....I think not. A wise man?.....oh, yes I almost forgot---he claims to be the founder of the Internet. Hmmmmm, very wise indeed.
