Absolutely.

We all operate on trust to some degree.

Personally, the degree of trust I place in posts here is very, very minimal. For example, I don't, frankly, care whether you really went to St. John's or not. I don't need to know. I think it's likely that you did, and it's nice to think that there's another St. Johnnie here, but if you didn't, so what? I'm not relying on anything you've said here to make any significant decisions, so if it's all pretend on your part, I don't see what difference that makes.
