You post the same tripe as your friends. And you have on those rose colored Republican glasses. Democracy is not the best system, second to none. The best system is a constitutional republic which is what this country was founded as. But since you are one of the new breed of big government loving Republicans I guess you don't agree or maybe even know about that. Democracy is a perversion of what this country started as. And for the record you are the one who doesn't know much of anything and is always posting your opinion as fact. The new Republicanism is big government, enormous deficit spending and using the law to create a new era of robber baron's. Police state tactics to chill dissent.

And BTW, I am no dem/lib. I was a republican all my life until the party betrayed every last principal it claimed to stand for. The party is mostly felons and traitors and robber baron's now. Dems are little better.

And you are being deliberately obtuse. At least I hope it's deliberate. ;-)

I am a Bush supporter. Most of my friends support Bush. None of us want a facist state.

Neither did the moderates in Germany who supported Hitler is the late 1920s and early 1930s. They were as surprised as any with how rapidly power and evil consolidated in Hitler's hands once he took full advantage of the Reichstag fire to vilify his political enemies, call all the pacifists traitors and systematically destroy the Republic.

I see Bush as being at about where Hitler was in 1935, when the great bulk of the nation, and much of the world's elites still felt a false sense of ease about Hitler's programs. Replace the Middle East Arabs of today for the Jews of that earlier age, and there doesn't seem to be a dime's worth of difference between the early Bush and the early Hitler.

It's not the history we see that is so deeply troubling. It is the incessant manner that Bush is fulfilling the planning documents of the Right, i.e. the strategies of such organizations as PNAC, AEI, the Heritage Foundation, Grover Norquist's group, etc.

The devil lies in what is to come, what is in the works, what is "in the files". That is the sinister Bush that his apologists seem to be remarkably blind to.

Bush is acting according to plan. It would behoove all Americans to read this plan. It is indeed the plan for global conquest, a repressive police state at home, lowered living standards for the citizens, perpetual war, religious claptrap replacing science, a coarsening of our culture and a propaganda campaign that George Orwell warned us against.

Speaking of which, have you seen this joke?

A Democrat walks up to the Pearly Gates.......

I'd respectfully ask you to open your eyes to what Bush plans, not what he's done in public to date. It ought to scare the crap out of every living American. It sure does that for Bush's victims in Iraq.
