Let's review the header for this thread. Terms of Use: All opinions are welcome here. However, name calling, character assassination, reliving the past just to stir up trouble, and foul, uncivil behavior in general are not. I do not like to ban people, and I will give you a warning about unacceptable posts unless the behavior is just horrendous. Please express your feelings without destroying others. This is a place for people who have been talking about tech stocks all day to unwind and discuss whatever, including the neurotic/psychotic motivations behind discussing tech stocks all day, and the pain they hold inside. You can be yourself here. You don't even have to mention the stock of the hour. When you are feeling vulnerable or sad, or you've been up for two days and are having trouble holding it all together, drop by and consider this a safe place to let it all hang out, and rest assured no one will flame you--that some kind and compassionate soul will understand and commiserate, or at least listen without laughing out loud. Feel free to reveal the gentle, vulnerable parts of yourselves here, or just write and write without someone who's following a hundred stocks and is in a hurry to read every thread tell you to keep it short and on subject! Now, you posted Laz's posts, the crux of which appear to be that he stated that (a) he didn't "give a **," (b) "well now you have another one," and (c) " I honestly don't give a what you think." (directed to Sidney). Grainne's response: I actually though Lazarus had interesting things to say, and I also thought he was very intelligent. I would prefer to ban no one at all. However, as I said already, I would rather kill this thread than have it be an ugly, rude place full of insults and personal attacks, and when I politely reminded Laz of this, he continued to be rude. Even at that point, I would have still preferred him to stay, but he had me on Ignore, so I could not get a private message to him to see if we could resolve this. If he would like a second chance to be civil and contacts me, I would give it to him. I do not think it is particularly constructive to talk about all this endlessly; I am trying to give the thread a new start for the many of us who were sinners in the past and deserve one. His ideas and political beliefs had nothing to do with the ban; it is all behavioral in my opinion. All points of view are welcome here. Anyone can start a thread, and if you do you can ban everyone you please, or set any agenda you would like, so everyone has the same opportunities and it is a level playing field. People who don't enjoy playing here are very welcome to start a game somewhere else. Now, let's take a gander at Sidney's posts on this thread. But I think it's ridiculous for anyone to hold an opinion and not be willing to read a link to the facts surrounding their opinion which they hold which I know is wrong. I supplied a link to the Patriot Act itself and some commentary and the other party would not even read it but chose to blindly maintain their wrong opinion and not cloud the issue with any facts which I provided. I think that is very dishonest and unfortunately is the norm for Bush supporters because there are so many facts about what a criminal and terrible President Bush is which they have to ignore daily in order to keep their opinions. One bad thing about democracy is that those of us with a real brain have to live by the choices of total idiots. Sidney can’t simply say “nothing personal” in light of that post and his posting history. There was everything personal about that post and I know for damn sure who it was directed to. I'm not asking for Sidney's banning (and told Grainne as such). But I do want to point out he has a tendency to make inflammatory posts that sometimes turn into veiled and not so veiled personal attacks on those who don’t agree with his POV. IMO, his posts were, and are, mean-spirited and, IMO, not in the spirit of what Grainne claims this thread stands for. For those posts, Sidney was scolded like an errant schoolboy. For posts no more extreme, Laz Long was banned. There is a double standard practiced on this thread and there is a word for that. Hypocrisy.

E, I think you forgot a very important post that Lazarus wrote to Sidney in that long sequence. And there are a few others that I don't think add as much, but everyone can go check out these posts. They reside basically in the 88300's at Feelies. Here it is. I would also note that this argument is extremely pointless. Aren't people getting tired of it yet? I would never ban anyone for their political beliefs, and no one will ever be able to assert factually that I have. In fact I did at one point ask Lazarus to come back if he could comply with the Feelies rules, and he never answered me.
