Grainne should not really answer a question like that. I'm surprised at you, E, putting Grainne on the spot by asking her to reveal personal conversations that you imagine might have taken place. While you do not really have any right to know, and asking Grainne, imo, is wrong, I can tell you that I did NOT tell Grainne anything of the kind. I feel sorry I have to share this with you- and I do it to elucidate my position on pumping others for personal or private information, rather than to reward you for behavior I think is wrong. "Grainne, was there any PM indication by ionesco to you that she had left the thread because of Jewel? " tsk tsk tsk

Let's look at it this way..... If Sidney were not a lefty how many warnings do you figure he would be getting for the level of name calling he has exhibited? How bad were the names Laz used? Seems to me he kept inserting little ('....' blanks) to mean expletives. You see nothing hypocritical or uneven about Grainne's banning Laz and leaving Sidney. This is her thread...Grainne can pick and choose.....I have no problem with that concept.... BUT she ought to at least be honest about it rahter than holding out as some impartial arbiter..... J.

E, Ionesco would never, ever ask me to get rid of a poster (in this case Jewel of the West), because she wanted to post here. And I would never, ever get rid of a poster so anyone else could post here. I am not sure if you really understand how insulting this allegation is to me. It challenges my integrity. It also challenges Ionesco's (but she is capable of defending herself). As far as Jewel being banned, from what I remember there was a lot of resistance to Ionesco posting here at the time, by several of you, and Jewel seemed particularly hostile and wouldn't let go of a personal attack on her. Then he also called me a rube. So he was banned for personal attacks and name calling. After I banned him, he sent me three private messages right in a row, the contents of which I would not reveal (unless he denies that they exist, in which case I would have to think about it) that were quite a bit nastier. That is why I would not consider bringing him back, unlike Lazarus, for example. I think there are some posts missing in this sequence--I believe that at one point either you or Poet warned him to obey the thread rules--but I cannot find them now.
