It seems a tiny scandal, important to conservatives only because it involves Air America. Aren't we talking less than a million dollars here? I'm more concerned about the 8.8 BILLION unaccounted for in Iraq.

Oh, the Times doesn't support the Democrats in some sort of ideologically blind way. The ownership has been forever Rockefeller Republicans and supported them in New York. And battled various editors to make certain that support was there.

Now that the Republican party has fallen off the right wing cliff, the paper won't go there. But I'm not certain they opposed Pataki every time. Would have to check that. And I think they support some Rep members of the House as well. Would have to check that. And I wouldn't be surprised if they endorse Bloomberg in the mayoral contest.

As for Spitzer, et al, my guess, and it's only that, is they are waiting to see what kind of story it is. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that they did not do stories on every one of Spitzer's investigations.

Gina, No way is the NYT supportive of The Democratic Party. Judith Miller published The White House's lies about WMD as though they were the truth and the NYT has always been a great outlet for Karl Rove's smears and fiction.
