Iran's threats are disturbing, and seemingly very stupid, but the country being threatened is Israel, not the United States.

Israel has somewhere between 200 and 400 nukes of it's own and the largest, best equipped military in the region, and is hardly a passive victim country. As far as I'm aware, we have no mutual defense treaty with Israel.

Why shouldn't we just let Israel deal with this threat against them on their own? Help them with satellite intel, maybe - they've probably got their own. I have every confidence that they could glass over Iran if they REALLY felt threatened without our getting involved. After all, Iran only threatens to develop nuclear weapons, Israel already HAS a larger supply than Great Britain. So, at this point, Iran is ALL talk, and really stupid talk at that.

Israel isn't the 51st state. Really!

That crazy Iranian President is once again broadcasting to the world that he is not a peaceful man and that Iran's nuclear program is anything but peaceful. How long do you think it will take the pacifist in the West to wake up and realize Iran will soon have a nuclear bomb and that will be a catestropic day for the West?

Of all the autocratic/dictatorial nations in the ME, Iran is the most progressive. It has the greatest potential of becoming a democracy of almost any nation in the ME including Iraq. Its religious fervor mirrors the southern US and in that way, reflects our conservative values. It has huge oil reserves.

Instead of making war with them, I suggest we find a way to make amends for the evil crap we did to them in the 1980s and develop a solid working relationship with them.
