Hawk, "How do we "contain" hundreds of millions of muslims?" You can't. It's time to rethink our approaches. When you have a popular movement against authority, brute force alone never works. I remember when the squad crashed Steven Stills’ apartment in Boulder Colorado and vacuumed his carpet to recover a marijuana seed so they could bust him. It must have seemed like the government forces had smashed the movement when even a seed in the carpet would get you jail time. The cops were tooled up, the courts were ready, the government was publishing warning pamphlets that threatened mutated babies, the schools were teaching anti-drug courses… yet within the next couple of years 80% plus college students were toking up and the most popular folk singer was declaring, ‘Everybody must get stoned.’ Against that kind of brute force and intimidation, can any form of moderate response such as containment work? We know of many change techniques effective in eliminating most problems. Raw aggression has a goal that will be met unless the aggressor is defeated by overwhelming force. However, we still have the seed of a movement planted that must not be fertilized. There is a simple rule in organic gardening, ‘if you want grass to grow instead of weeds, create the conditions (soil, moisture and fertilizer) for good grass growth and nurture it while yanking out the occasional weed before it gets a good start.’ There is also the beneficial insect idea but I'll let you figure that one out on your own.

Its contained within the borders of gaza for instance. If they come for us we must use all force necessary to defeat it. If it really gets out of hand, you dont want me to be president. It gets to the point where more liberal than you me would be far tougher than bring them democracy you. Containment of USSR meant MADD as much as anything else we had up.
