you hit on something. You a baseball fan? Unfortunately we live in the american league and we are the designated hitter. I am not happy about that either but we became this way, not by choice but because our allies refuse to defend themselves. Next time an ally whines because of our twin deficits, our t-bill rates, the lower dollar etc., they should look in the mirror. You get what you pay for and what you are paying for is Uncle being the ultimate defender of the world. Dont like it, europe, put your kids on the front line. I am sympathetic to your view of things but at the end of the day we are not only defending them but we are defending ourselves as well. Re: iraq, will bet you a hypothetical beer that hypothetical pres gore would have done pretty much the same thing in iraq if only to prove that dems are as tough as reps in the post-9/11 world. You gotta let yourself think Ted. You have potential.

Thank the Lord (including Jesus...who did exist) that you really don't have any say in important matters. Apparently, among other things, you've never heard of WW I. "I am sick of it and I think thats why this country is in decline now." FYI...this country is not in decline other than in the minds of nitwits like you. Given your fascination with Europe and you disgust with this country.....I just don't understand why you don't move there.
