Good point. And the Office part of the 16GB really shouldn't count as bloat.

"Its an awful good thing that there are standards based MicroSD and USB slots into which you can insert (for example) an inexpensive, off the shelf 64 GB SDIO flash memory card, for things like music, photos, and videos, according to Microsoft documentation " I'm sure you are aware the hoops you have to go through to use that MicroSD card for such files, if you want to do more than transfer them to local storage. The removable storage seems like a second class citizen in WindowsRT-- can you install apps on it? I ask because I have 16 GB in apps alone on my iPad. Luckily, Microsoft sells a 64 GB version. winsupersite.com Incidentally, I have 25 GB used up on a fresh install of Windows 8 Pro, with no desktop programs installed other than Windows Live Essentials (with 10 or so Metro style apps). No idea what is using up all that storage space.
