Don't worry Ron, people who haven't been to a place know it only by the news articles they read. As a boy, I lived in Mississippi for a year, and I loved the place. It's a beautiful, wooded state with gorgeous deciduous forests. Politically backward, but a wonderful state.

I currently live in Utah, a state with beautiful mountains and unique deserts. Also a wonderful state with regressive politics. My city:

NC is an absolutely beautiful state. I had a peak experience in NC. I met a beautiful artist in Baltimore. And that summer I flew down to Baltimore and met her and we went to NC where a friend was going to school.

I remember how lush it was and the ghost oyster operations along the coast were really fun to explore.

We bought and cracked watermelon along the highways.

And she was a wild woman in the warm lush countryside. Even in the wild forests warmth was never a problem.

So I get it-lol!

You tell em Ron. They don't have a clue about us. Only what they read about the 'reds" in state government. We're so much more than that. The quality of life here based on affordability and crime stats is like 10 times better than Calif.
