The key is "Green bananas". Green as in not ripe. A ripe banana is when the carbs (as fiber) have turned into carbs (as sugar).

Same thing with "Raw white potato"

Dr. Davis' fiber recommendations are questionable, but when he says green banana, he means REALLY green. So green that you have to cut the peel off with a knife. The starch has not been converted to sugar yet. They actually taste sort of vile, so I freeze a bunch, pre-peeled, and add one to my protein shake, along with a teaspoon of yacon powder and a teaspoon of Now inulin powder derived from chicory root.

I plan to experiment with glucomannan.

I think Dr. Grace's blog, Animal Pharm, is the best on prebiotic fibers and probiotic supplements. I also follow Tim Steele, Vegetable Pharm.

Richard Nikoley is a head case. Seriously something wrong with that man.
