Do you think the homeless issue that is exploding has any correlation to the number of immigrants?

Where did that come from? Can't say I ever thought about it.

So I took a quick glance to see if homeless was "exploding" and found that it is trending up somewhat after having been dropping. It dropped during a period when there were a lot of immigrants so there doesn't seem to be an obvious correlation.

Your question seems to suggest a cause and effect relationship. Dunno what that might be. Poor immigrants seem to live differently than poor Americans. I would expect them to experience less homelessness because they tend to share resources in higher-density housing situations, or so I have observed.

I think homelessness is increasing due to the cost of housing, not immigrants.

Insignificant.

Clinton had us on the way to a balanced budget and so Bush enacted massive tax cuts for rich and two stupid wars. That has cost us trillions and trillions. Bush said the government should not have too much money and he as giving it back to the rich because they paid it.

If we had spent that money, many trillions, on our poor and homeless using modern social science we could have seen the problem of poverty, homlessness and drug abuse plummet!!
