For myself, I find I can be severely strict with no problems during the week and on the weekends I have whatever I want... I lose weight that way by not depriving myself on the weekends... it makes it so much easier during the week knowing that on Saturday I can have those pancakes or pizza... during the week my meals are very typically as follows:

Breakfast

Cantaloupe, strawberries, walnuts, cheese and a few breakfast sausages...

Lunch

A pear or an apple, more fruit and melon...

Dinner

Cheese, a few crackers, a big salad...

Evening

if I get hungry I have water and maybe more melon...

2018-11-19 @ 235-pounds . . . I'm back posting so I can feel the pressure of being watched.

In the past 5-weeks I've been up to 243-pounds and then got sick last week (stomach bug)
and lost 10-pounds in 3-days ... then got better and gained 2-pounds in 2-days.
So here I am motivated to get strong again .. pushing DOWN into the 220's and eventually into the 210s !!
I will pot my weight here every Monday .. pressured to be good!
I have found that just not eating carbs is not the way to go full-time forever.
I will be eating a little bit of cold-rice along with green-banana powder every other day or so to feed the good bacteria in my gut.
I'll be drinking Kombucha and bone broth and Kiefer to get those good bacteria into my gut.

AND .. I will be eating LESS.
That's a big difference going forward.
I won't just be eating lots of meat . . I'll be eating less protein and more vegetables and fish.
ANYWAY ... I'll keep abreast here of my ongoings and my weight.
