Your message was very informative, and the kind of thing that makes these threads worthwhile (and worth wading through all the silly, off-topic squabbles). I actually read your post three times. You note that VPN and intrusion detection are, in your opinion, the next hot areas. In your opinion, what companies have the strongest products in these areas?
