Isn't one of Clinton's advisors suing Drudge and AOL for libel? He and his staff would no doubt defend freedom of speech to the death; well if not to the death at least to significant inconvenience.

In an ealier post (4104) I showed Antares' expenditures taken from their latest Annual Report covering where the money raised last year was spent. Did you see it?

Gabe

Ah, sorry, I got the holiday impression from a PM.

If you read that threat from Antares #reply-5420262 you find that it's quite broad;

"...to stop making the types of statements he made in Reply Numbers 3851, 3872, 3873, 3880, 8331, 3883, 3891, 3894, 3901, 3927, 3963 and 3965..."

Well, john says a lot of things in those posts - they can't all be untrue.
Remember - Truth is a defense against libel. That is one big reason why most threats of libel suits don't make it to court - the threatener doesn't really want the truth to come out, they just want to silence the critic with the threat. A lot of ugly stuff can come out in Examination for Discovery.

Perhaps Antares could post again and fill us in on specifically what they claim was libelous in john's posts and what was not. Organised and itemised and cross-referenced to his posts. Or maybe we could set them up with a nice easy multiple choice checklist, like;

1. We do/do not play offshore games with ANZ paper.
2. We do/do not give our family's snouts an unfair advantage at the trough.
3. We do/do not regularly enjoy sexual relations with sheep.
4. We do/do not have a clue.

john never said there were offshore accounts as a fact, he was speculating

www3.techstocks.com
What about the Gray family getting wealthy off this one trading in off shore accounts????

Speculating is when someone says I believe or I feel or my opinion is not What about the Gray family getting wealthy off this one trading in off shore accounts????

I think people should think more about John rather than to egg him on that he is right..... the bottom line is that if he has no proof to back up his statements he is not right. I feel he should make the apology and move on........ I would it's no big deal. Colleen don't take this as a attack on you I am not saying you are wrong just sharing my thoughts :-)))))
