What is scary about the religious fundamentalists is their absolute certainty that they know what is true and good coupled with their insistence that anything or anybody unlike them is evil. They are dangerous. Totally agree. And at least some of the Presidents support is actually a backlash against this thinking.

But so unliberal of you to make sweeping pejorative generalizations toward an underprivileged minority group. So insensitive. And what's funny about watching liberals desparately squirming under inspection from law officers is that they will try absolutely anything to keep the followers within the fold. The lengths they will go to scare people into staying within the fold is funny to watch. It's reminiscient of the old Soviet system, where the government hid it's own massive botch-ups, but constantly reminded the people through the instruments of propaganda that the American system, while looking good to the eyes, produced only massive cultural corruption - decadence. Yes, religious people are dangerous! hide your kids. But our Billy boy - now there's a man to point out to the kids as being a great man; a real example to aspire to. NOT! Your man is going down, and I don't mean on Monica.
