Would someone be kind and patient enough to explain to me whether the following rules from SURETRADE customer homepage is unique to SURETRADE only or not? My prior broker was E-Trade and I've never experienced this type of problems before and I find this extremely frustrating. :(

................
8.Daytrading/Cash Account- If you have purchased and then sold the same security today in your cash account, exhausting the total available cash in your account, then you will be unable to place additional trades in your cash account for the remainder of the trading day. The funds will be available for trading again tomorrow.

9.Daytrading/Margin Account- If you have purchased and then sold the same security today, exhausting the available buying power in your account, then you will be unable to re-purchase that security again today. You may purchase other securities today in your margin account.
................

Currently Very UNSURE,
Robin

Well, I'm on a roll today. I just sent cnbc an awful e-mail about something they reported today. I just sent Jim Cramer at the street.com an e-mail about this statement from his aol chat last night.

>>Question: jim, whats your feeling on peoplesoft at this level? this is a well run company and has been a super performer in the recent past, also earnings were not perceived as negative but it has been pounded.

TSCNYjjc: I am short Peoplesoft. This stock cant get out of its own way and I think has 25 written all over it. I know the company is great but that does not nmean that the stock works here because it is not. Everybody is still long it and it reminds me of the way Parametric acted before the blow up.

What a jerk. I know he doesn't like psft because he's said so before on cnbc. But what an irresponsible statement....The problem I have with him particularly on ERP stocks is that I don't think he understands anything about this sector. Actually I think there are many who don't. Even though many people don't like him, his opinions unfortunately carry some weight. So if the uninformed investor was out there looking for short candidates today and happened to listen to him last night guess psft looks good to them. But why would anyone want to short psft right now for a measly 3-4 pt. gain when it could just as easily go the other way.

Per a DLJ analyst report, PSFT CFO is very comfortable with 3rd q shaping up. He has called the 2nd q a low and subsequent q's should look better. Industry conferences are coming up and PSFT management intends to get the message out. The insider purchase should also send a signal that mgmt. has a lot of confidence in their outlook. I can't believe some idiot short seller can get on CNBC and promote his shorts in a market that basically is having a climax selloff. An erroneous report by CNBC on ERP software stocks and good earnings report by JDEC have also contributed to a mass exodus from PSFT. In the end, PSFT will let the numbers speak.
