It does usually take less than a minute with Schwab. It may take a few minutes before they tell me about it though. Schwab has a good reputation with some professional OEX traders. Thanks for the warning about paper trading options. I will try to check out the Natenburg book. I am thinking about writing the option down on paper and waiting a couple of minutes and then writing down the bid for a buy or the ask for a sell. I think that should cover your concern.

Best Wishes,

Bob

Patrick re>>Personally, I would suggest you don't trade any options through Schwab<<

Not sure what you are basing this on.

I've been using Schwab for over 15 years for options trading and I have found them to be excellent. Not cheap for a discount broker but cannot fault the service. No web-trading for me when it comes to options and I do use the options desk or Schwab500 -- both of these sections have been very good, when it comes to these trades. I think that web trading when it comes to options would be ill-advised.

>>Tell me, for example, on a market order how long does it take to get a fill?

Instant--just seconds--though again I am not referring to web trading.

BTW, it is being suggested that the futures could get to 1080 before this rally peters out. Not sure that we will see that but who knows.
