Good Morning Sonny,

Sorry to learn of your bad experience with loosing your power down there for some time.
Yes we did get the ice storm up here and although we did not loose our power, there is only one thing worse in my business then the weather being bad and that is having an ice storm and having to walk around in it. Saturday was even worse and I did a lot of slip slidding. The boss and I went for a little ride and he saw how dangerous things really were. I am trying to hold out for a least another 10 years but if Dell, Msft and AOL etc keep doing what they did in the past maybe I will not have to wait that long.

Glad you are back home and everything is back to normal

Microsoft had a real lift off during the last part of the trading day and they will be reporting their earnings I believe on Tuesday. Hope it is a blow out and that they will split the stock 2 for 1
Great finish for the market thanks to a rebound in Brazil and some more nice comments from our Abby Cohen.

Have a great day and
GO Intel,Dell,Msft, LU, Wcom well you know what I mean

Frank

Sonny, that was quite an ordeal you described. I hope things are back to normal and you don't get grounded with another bad cold. That kind of weather and power outage reminds me of where I'm from and where I'm not going back to. However, I also completely understand why people choose to stay close to their roots.

Couldn't Clinton have done something about that whole situation? <g>

Tony

sonny, what a story! and among all this you managed to sneak in a post. why don't u all move to Calif? the weather is so sunny u can walk out in a t-shirt and sandals. u need to wear atleast that much as resturants require shirt/shoes for service. I know some people at berkely ...(well that's another story)
only bad thing that can happen here is one of these days we may sink in the ocen when we get THE earthquake. while we we are still living we don't have ice which is nice.

no electricity... my gosh. i can understand being frozen but not able to see your stock quotes what a nightmare. I think i will order another battery for my laptop.

Sonny,

Hi. Hope you warm up soon. It was wonderful here in CA all week except for the market on Thursday which took my mind off the warm sunny days we've had here lately. <g>

Seriously, did you miss the action Thursday too? Reading your story, I was reminded of the week I spent back in 1974 in CT. There was a huge ice storm that knocked out the power for most of the southern half of the state for a week. As an aside, a few years ago there was a movie made called "The Ice Storm" that was written with that storm and place as the background setting for that film. Anyway, I know a little about what you went through. Your situation was much worse than mine ever was, particularly being cut off from the net for so long. <g>

I went out the day after the storm hit and took some memorable pictures of the ice and what some of the big trees looked like covered with ice. At least some of the trees that survived relatively undamaged. I look at them every now and then to remind me of why I live in CA.

What are your expectations for Intel for the near term? I am still very bullish even now and expect a further move up before any consolidation. A few more good quarters of earnings and we'll be going into the fall with gangbuster new products and big-time momentum. By this time next year, I expect 200 will have been reached and the rampup to Merced will be close at hand.

Just a few thoughts after reading your post.

Barry

Sonny-What a horror story! I saw an item on the news last night about how bad things were in the D. C. area. I talked to my daughter in Ann Arbor tonight. They, of course, have had record snow falls in that area. She has finally decided that a location with a better climate will be in her future plans. I've been down here 11 years now, and I don't miss that stuff a bit.
