**** SLINK'S HENCHMAN BLUEMENTHAL COMMITS PERJURY ***** HITCHENS TURNS IN BLUMENTHAL, SAYS WHITE HOUSE AIDE DID SMEAR LEWINSKY White House aide Sidney Blumenthal testified during a deposition in the Senate impeach trial that he did not tell reporters that Monica Lewinsky was a stalker. "When it came to talking about her personally, I drew a line," Blumnethal said during his deposition. House manager Lindsey Graham asked: "So, when you talked to you mother and your friends and Mr. Lyons about Ms. Lewinsky, are you telling us that you have these conversations, and you know what the president has told you and you're not tempted to tell somebody the president is a victim of this lady, out of his own mouth?" Blumenthal answered under oath: "Not only am I not tempted, I did not." But early today, journalist Christopher Hitchens [VANITY FAIR] swore in a affidavit that Blumenthal told him Monica was a "stalker" -- and Blumenthal "recounted to other people in the journalistic community the same story" about Monica Lewinsky! Hitchens continued: "During lunch on March 19, 1998, in the presence of myself and name redacted Mr. Blumenthal stated that, Monica Lewinsky had been a 'stalker' and that the President was 'the victim' of a predatory and unstable sexually demanding young woman. Referring to Ms. Lewinsky, Mr. Blumenthal used the word 'stalker' several times." The affidavit has been turned over to Sen. Majority Leader Trent Lott, who has shared it with Minority leader Tom Daschle, according to a broadcast report. FOX NEWS CHANNEL's hotshot reporter Carl Cameron was first to break with the Hitchens development: "FOX NEWS has learned from three sources that the senate is in receipt of a sworn affidavit from a Washington Journalist. Parts of the affidavit have been read to FOX News... The affidavit read to FOX NEWS says Blumenthal described lewinsky as "a predatory and unstable sexually demanding young woman" who pursued the president." Cameron continued: "The affidavit quotes Blumenthal also talking about Kathleen Willey. Sources say Blumenthal said Willey was high in the polls, but implied that would change when things began to come out about her." drudgereport.com DD
