It seems that the plan is to build these housing construction factories where they will build prefab cement houses for deployment there in Belize.

Well, there goes the neighborhood. Score zero for style points, would be sturdy during the next hurricane and cool in the summer.

I wonder if each house will come with a picture of Fidel over the door? lol!

The next question may be, who is going to give the money to Cuba so they can build their bunkers in Belize. They sure won't be able to sell those things to anyone, must be strictly for government free housing, which would certainly be better than nothing.

we had initially started negotiation on one plant, one factory, and
now the Cuban government has been kind enough to throw in another one.

Throw in another one? I can just visualize the talks. "Oh what the hell, let's just throw in another plant for good measure." They must be having a sale on plants. Cuba's economy must be booming to be able to just "throw in another one".

Thanks for the link.

The news link you provided showed that it is obvious that Belize has a need for housing, etc. This does not rule out PRWT's involvement. Until there is news to the contrary, I'm going to believe that PRWT's project is still in the mix.

Cuba's concept and PRWT's are totally different. If I was to retire in the tropics....I wouldn't be living in a cement block, that's for sure.

Besides...the housing project is not all that PRWT has on the table. Have we forgotten the rest?

Helene

jhild, excuse me for a somewhat off-topic post. You made reference to prefab "cement" houses. You probably mean concrete. Referring to concrete as cement is analogous to calling bread "flour".

In any case, I don't believe that it was stated what kind of construction would be used in the Cuban factory.
