David,

What would DELL gain from leaking and that too selectively? Do only analysts care for their reputation and not corporate executives?

David:

<< Why is so difficult to believe they leaked it? >>

Are you saying that DELL leaked that information to only two analysts even though there are 20 other top notch analysts who are also following DELL stock with much more credibility to them than these two?

<<<Analysts don't turn on a dime 2 days before earnings unless it's been leaked.>>>

Not necessarily. If the brokerage firm is short or wants to keep the stock price under a price because of option contracts or some other reason, this is a tactic that can and has been used in the past.

Thank You

JK

WHY ? Because they've never leaked it before and their management has been faithful to the shareholders. There are many more valid reasons from past history to believe that they DID NOT and would not LEAK anything

Think head fake, Dave. Maybe Michael's still pissed
from last quarter and has a couple of guys he'd like
to fry in boiling oil. Maybe one of his execs gets
the bright idea of playing down his enthusiasm when
he's asked about the quarter. Maybe the suckers bit <g>.

Don't fall into the same trap; Michael's real good.
