The greatest gift a woman can give a man is to openly say to him "I trust you to earn the money for our family". This engenders the greatest feelings of self worth and desire in men to go beyond their own expectations.

Well, this is the most chauvanistic thing I have ever read on this thread! LOL Michael

You may be right as I was once a single parent who raised two children for 8 years on my own. My ex-husband decided he had better things to spend his money on so I was left to support and raise them myself.

As a result of my experience, I will never put myself in the position to rely totally on any man for my livelihood, as to do that would make me a slave to their money! I would be forced to accept anything they dished out and that's not a position I want to put myself in. I feel it's wise for all women to have something to fall back on in case they are left by divorce or by death.I am thankful that I was able to get a decent job when I needed it.

This philosophy has worked well for me

<<Society views men on what their accomplishments are. Women on who they are. It's a big difference and it's built into the fabric of what makes men men and women women. This may sound nonsensical on the surface but let me try and explain.>>

I think these attitudes are shifting towards a
more neutral basis especially among younger people.

<<Why is it if we see men in their 60's with women in their 20's, we think, Hey what a stud!>>

I think money, not stud.

<<The greatest gift a woman can give a man is to openly say to him "I trust you to earn the money for our family">>

What percentage of the families in the US can survive on a single income? (I know there's plenty of single parent households but many of them are not what I would call thriving)
