Its interesting to hear from many that once we hit 10,000 the market will zoom up dramatically/immediately and such will also force the market internals to improve.

ROCKETMAN on the MDA thread did a study of what happened in the 9 previous times the DOW hit the "THOUSAND MARK". That study showed that the DOW on average only increase 1.42% more over the next month after surpassing the "THOUSAND MARK". Only once did the market continue up hard.

Statistically, it is still not really acceptable, but I rather go with that than some analyst who feels it will zoom up alot more because the media will make it an event and thereafter money will pour in.
