Created to relieve the suffering masses on the Microsoft thread from general political and economic discourse. I looked around but most of the existing political threads look a bit, er, strident. Even to my staunchly-conservative eyes those other threads looked uninviting, and especially so to those of a left-leaning persuasion. I don't intend to say much here nor to act as arbiter - the thread is here for those who want to use it.
