You run into these things from time to time. This time it was my brother, who is the Controller for a medium sized company here. He was discussing investments with a local banker who brought this company up. I did a little prelim on the net and ended up having dinner with the banker this evening.

Being an engineer I historically don't relate very well to bankers but I think I'm beginning to understand them a little more now. His interest in BROC is for all the things a banker likes. The company has built a solid foundation, expanded operations, obtained several recurring sales accounts and is supposed to make a profit this quarter. Of interest also was the 4 day conference they are going to hold May 19 - 22 for existing and prospective customers. Some new orders may come out of this.

Their website can be found at: broc.com

April 25 earnings report (condensed) and other info:
businesswire.com

If you read anything check this press release which I'll post anyway:
broc.com\BIINC.htm

The company has about 4.9 million shares and the float is about 2.9 million. Today (05/15) it only traded 800 shares, all on an uptick.

I can see the bankers point considering that the upcoming show should produce orders, and the fact that they have recently landed some rather nice accounts with (from the press release) TelNor (Norway), TeleFonica (Spain), Telecom Italia (Italy), OmniTel (Italy), France Telecom (France) and Dutch PTT (Netherlands). Also in 1995, Brock saw a number of multinational organizations including Mercedes Benz, BMW, Honeywell and DuPont implement plans to expand their usage of Brock's software solutions across multiple locations as a part of a trend towards standard, worldwide, corporate system.

Any opinions/experience feedback?
