Is anyone interested in developing a thread on DuPont? This Dow stock has performed well over the past couple of years. The company consists of several businesses, Ag Chem, Fibers, Polymers, Conoco Oil, DuPont-Merck, etc. Current valuation seems to be in between commodity producers such as Union Carbide, Dow, etc. and specialty chemical companies. DuPont would seem to have the chance to follow a strategy similar to Monsanto, i.e., segregate growth and cyclical businesses, to enhance shareholder value. Would be interested in what others think of this company and thoughts on how to value it. | ||||||||||||||
