After the market closed on Friday, Victory Ventures announced it had reached agreements to acquire four separate blocks of diamond exploration permits near the Ashton Minerals of Canada diamond find in the Buffalo Head Craton in Alberta. There were no specifics given as to the size or location of the properties but industry insiders say that Victory may end up as one of the largest land holders in this play. As the Insider Report begins coverage of the Buffalo Hills diamond play, we feel that Victory may currently offer the best value of all of the companies trying to participate in this play as they were relatively unheard of until now. Victory, which had previously been managed by a different group, traded for most of 1996 between $0.45 and $0.75. It was then halted on November 19, 1996 when the previous management group attempted to vend-in an internet company. It did not re-open until July 17, 1997 and traded at $0.33. Under current management, they will be focusing entirely on the Buffalo Hills area. We believe that the Buffalo Hills diamond play will bring a lot of attention to VIP over the course of the next few weeks and months as they get involved. We will be watching Victory closely this week as the market has yet had an opportunity to react to Friday's after-market news release.
