Earnings are out today ... TEC reported $0.22 vs. $0.17 last year, a gain of 32%. There was a 61% gain in operating income. After a solid 1997, the CEO is very upbeat about 1998, expecting continued strong performance. TEC beat the estimates which ranged from $0.18 to $0.20. The stock trades at about 12 times 1998 estimates. Those esimates are conservative and may be revised upwards in light of recent performance. Volume is very light, even after today's good news. If TEC gets some publicity and a stronger institutional following, the stock could do very well. | ||||||||||||
