New Action Films Unveiled at Cannes Film Festival

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 29, 1998--Eclipse Entertainment Group, Inc. (OTC.BB: ECLE) and Westar Entertainment, Inc., its wholly owned film production and distribution subsidiary unveiled their film products at this year's Cannes Film Festival. Their new releases include an action film, ''Doublecross,'' a martial arts action film, ''The Process,'' and a re-issue of ''Beretta's Island,'' an action adventure that includes a special appearance by Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Westar is pleased to announced the appointment of Dr. Franco Columbu (Mr. Olympia and Mr. Universe bodybuilding champion) to the position of President. Dr. Columbu has been active in the film industry for over 20 years. He co-starred in the classic film ''Pumping Iron,'' with his best friend Arnold Schwarzenegger and continued as an actor in ''Conan the Barbarian,'' ''Terminator,'' ''Running Man,'' and ''Big Top Pee-Wee.'' Dr. Columbu has produced several films including ''Port of Crime,'' ''Circle Man,'' ''Beretta's Island'' and ''Doublecross.'' Dr. Columbu has participated in every major film market for the last 7
years and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Westar and Eclipse Entertainment Group.

Current President and CEO, Art Birzneck, will be appointed Chairman and CEO and will continue to oversee all activities of Westar and parent company Eclipse Entertainment Group, Inc. ''Expanding Franco's role in the company shows our commitment to building a 'first-class' organization that will quickly become a leader in the independent film industry,'' stated Birzneck.

Eclipse, through its subsidiary Westar, is currently developing its next two features. These include a family adventure, written by
''X-Files'' writer, Jim Guttridge, and an action/adventure film. These films are budgeted at $3-5 million each, and will feature
well-known actors with whom Westar is currently negotiating.
