Introduction Compact

AMP Inc. designs, manufactures and markets a broad range of electronic, electrical and electro-optic connection devices, interconnection systems and connector-intensive assemblies. ALD, Allied Signal, has made a $44/share offer when the stock was trading at 29. The BOD of AMP is using the Pennsylvania legislature to protect it, while most shareholders want the company to talk to ALD about the offer. What is your opinion?
