CompleTel is constructing fibre-rich Metropolitan Area Networks (MAN'S) and offers a broad range of fully-integrated telecommunications and Internet services, with locally-based customer service at lower installation and on-going costs than those of incumbent operators. Its services are provided through a state-of-the-art high bandwidth infrastructure based on the latest SDH (synchronised digital hierarchy) and IP transmission technologies. These include fibre-based local access combined with long distance resale, retail private line services, wholesale special access, interact access and data centre services.

CompleTel is licensed in the three largest European telecommunications markets - France, Germany and the UK - and is initially deploying fibre optic networks and
telecommunications services in 11 markets in France (Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Lille, Toulouse, Grenoble and Nice) and Germany (Berlin, Munich, Essen and Nuremberg) and Internet services in 12 markets including London. Customers include small, medium and large sized business and government end-users in underserved metropolitan areas, plus national and international carriers and Internet Service Providers (ISPs).

CompleTel's business strategy draws on a mixture of the most
effective strategies implemented by successful CLECs in the US.....
and they have an awesome website:
