This thread is about the greatest character building sport of all, Karate. I'm a student of Shaolin Kempo Karate.
It's a branch of Karate that borrows fighting techniques from other systems, e.g. Aikido, Kung Fu, Wrestling, Boxing etc., etc..

I'm not going to promote my little area of interest, but, would like to say that Martial Arts has changed my life big time. I'm in shape, have more balance and energy. I'm no black belt. I've started a number of months ago and have only a humble orange belt, but am committed to go all the way. I spend about 5-6 hours a week in the Dojo and enjoy every minute of it.

So any of you who have positive (and negative) impressions, experiences and ideas to contribute regarding Martial Arts, please don't hesitate to post here.
