I'm starting this subject based purely on the short-term political environment in the winter of 2003. Boots and Coots is Red Adair's (former?) company involved in the control and containment of oil well fires, etc. The company is currently on extremely shaky financial footings. If the Iraq situation evolves into an oil well scorched-earth approach, then WEL may appreciate quite nicely. If the environment is spared such a calamity, then WEL is likely to flounder.

A news article appearing this evening (30 Jan., 2003) suggests that WEL may have quite a bit of business in the near future biz.yahoo.com
