Smartphones are in the news and Tablets are outselling Netbooks but let's look at Netbooks which can also be called Mini Laptops. I went to a PC order website and configured a Mini Laptop with a 10.1" screen. And the optional level 10.1" screen was 1366 x 768 resolution. A plug-in broadband internet connector was standard and WiFi was standard. Then a cellular internet connector was optional. A DVD reader and writer was external and USB. Also I went with a dual core processor but there was conflicting information as to whether the Mini Laptop could do photo editing or not. So I moved on. Next I configured a Laptop with an 11.6" screen and 1366 x 768 resolution. A plug-in broadband internet connector was standard and WiFi was standard. Then a cellular internet connector was optional. The DVD reader and writer was external and USB. The dual core processor was fully PC and the computer was offered with major programs but certainly not the power for major PC games. The Laptop dimensions were 11.5" by 8.5" and that's the one. Chapter Two: Oh with your Netbook or Mini Laptop, get WiFi with Bluetooth, get plug-in broadband, but don't get mobile broadband. Instead get a mobile phone that has a USB connection and then the mobile phone can connect to the Laptop. The processors that are making these Mini Laptops possible are the dual-core Atom with Broadcom accelerator, a low voltage Core Duo at about 1.5 Mhz, a low voltage i5 at about 1.5 Mhz, a low voltage i7 at about 1.5 Mhz, and the E-350 Fusion. The power rating to look for is 15W to 18W and that's key to finding the intended processors. Screen size should be 10.1" to 11.6" and then battery life could be as much as 10 hours. | ||||||||||||
