Have you looked at Telecom companies recently? The baby Bells and especially Worldcom look pretty cheap right now.
I think WCOM may be a good play at the current valuation of about 30$, they have one of the best management's in the industry an overvalued wireless company.
The real losers of any slowdown in the industry will be heavily leveraged startup companies and the equipment companies not the ATT, Worldcom or Verizon.

I feel somewhat the same way about oil, but am maintaining very large positions (for me) in Talisman and Lundin Oil because of a possible weak-dollar play that might attract more money to companies outside the US. I am very heavy on natural gas in several different ways.

Michael,
Do you think it makes sense to sell CC on BR?
$5 for Feb 40 looks pretty attractive.
Thanx, ild

mike and all,

i'm scoping out a product on a major net bid company (no, not flera market ebay! ;-).

this product is hot. they don't auction it on weekends. why?

b/c they want the biggest available audience and that only is available while everyone at work is wasting their productivity bidding on the net! DOH! ;-)

OT-- Thought I would ask some of you body-building types about exercises to rebuild a deltoid. Also advice about using an e-stim unit, which my orthopedic Dr. has prescribed.

I have totally lost my rotator cuff in the right shoulder, gone, pffft, no supraspinatus, and have to retrain the deltoid to take over as best it can. Because of the humongous bone spur and other stuff that was tearing everything up this is the best that could be done. Had a repair 22 years ago. The artherscopic procedure is far better than the old open-incoision. But here I am. Afters tears, two dislocations etc.

OK, what builds deltoids?

Michael,
I know you have done long INTC short MOT paired trades in the past.
Do you think long AMD short INTC trade makes sense?
If they both go up AMD should go faster, if they both go down INTC should, based on fundamentals, go faster, although it's not the case at the moment.
TIA, ild

MB, which NG co's do you own?

What do you think of Kinder Morgan, KMI and ENE?

And, finally, what fundamentals do you look for in picking the peak of NG prices ,how much do time do you think we have left (~1Q '01)? The forward strip looks solid, but that's public info.... gimme your veteran, inside, H-town viewpoint...

NG co's are up 70% YTD, which makes life in Houston more bearable as I can afford air conditioning and cold beer...
