I think that you would agree that it doesnt matter anymore who started the extreme parisanship. Right wing talk radio and the Michael Moore/Terry McCaullife response is a good place to start. As i say often, 9/11 has changed everything, perhaps with the exception of this democrat/republican hostility and animosity. We will need both halves to become whole. Kerry should pick McCain or Bush should dump Chaney and pick the other kerrey. It doesnt matter. Bipartisanship in fp is whats called for now, not this narrow, nauseating political campaign that both sides of stumbled into. A pax on both parties. I wish there was a mainstream independent alternative apart from nader and the libertarians. Mike

Just for the heck of it, I looked at a few threads to see what the sophisticated folks on SI were saying from the moment 9/11 unfolded & for the next 48 hours. Below, I've linked to what some left leaning folks were saying. (I noted that there were quite a number of deleted posts. I kinda wonder what those folks were saying?) Gotta ask myself what horrific things were being spewed by that war mongering, 'it's all baout oil', 'liars & crooks' crowd on the right to create that "cacophony of Clinton bashing" that clearly overshadows the following from the left in the first 48 hours.....
