Recently I received a mailing from a company named Royce Biomedical.
The company is working on a simple antibody blood test for HIV I
and II; the test is claimed to by 99% accurate, takes 3 minutes,
and can even be performed by non-trained persons. Other tests
that they are working include a quick screen for H. Pylori
infection, a quick pregancy test, and a quick one-step ovulation
test. Right now the company claims to have sold over
$150,000 worth of the tests, and is now waiting for approval
in India and Canada, with the money from these markets
being used to fund FDA approval in the US. The company claims that
it will be listed on NASDAQ in April 1997. Oh, and the stock
currently trades between about $1 and $3.25. Does anyone have any other thoughts or info to share about these guys???
