Curlew Lake is preparing to drill the highly prospective Bacon Island gas project in California, which could host reserves of 50-200 BCF of natural gas. Clearance from the reclamation board has been received and site setup should proceed on Monday. Expect 2-3 days for site preparation, after which a drill rig will be contracted. A firm spud date should be available next week. CWQ holds 25% of Bacon Island, which could rise to 42.5% after project payout. We feel it's an excellent buy at the current C$0.23 - C$0.25 price. Investors can reach the president, Robert Pincombe, directly at pincombe@kwik.net, or access the Company's web site at www.curlew-lake.com.
