EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
====================
The company has the goal reaching $50 million in revenues by FY2000 thru internal growth as well as thru acquisitions in areas of present and future core competencies. As of now, its strategic competencies can be grouped into the following areas of high synergy:

1) IVR applications (Interactive Voice Response Solutions)
2) Pre & Postpaid phone cards in Canada and the USA, facilities based
3) Voice/FAX over IP services
4) VAR Services on Excel Switch telco equipment (consulting, development)

IVR/CTI - Applications
------------------------
Currently #1 revenue source
The company provides custom-tailored IVR solutions to customers and is able to support these applications thru switch based facilities the company owns including 1-800 services. The company is currently utilizing a PC-based switching platform. However it is in the process of upgrading to telco-grade switching systems based on Excel Switching equipment. Due to this Hitcom expects to be able to rapidly expand its customer base once the move to the new switching equipment will be completed. The company expects to continue its steady growth in advancing the services and functions it provides in the areas of IVR (Interactive Voice Response) and CTI (Computer Telehpony Integration)

PRE & POSTPAID PHONECARDS
---------------------------------------
As of now #2 revenue source
This area of competence was created thru the recent Channel Telecom acquisition, the 4th largest facility-based phonecard company in Canada. Hitcom is in the process of introducing pre & postpaid phonecards for the US this quarter. The term "facility-based" refers to the telco switching eqipment necessary to support and service phonecard operations, maintained by Hitcom thru the above-mentioned infrastructure.

Voice/FAX over IP (VIP)
--------------------------
Future area of expansion, target: FY1999
The company is in the process of developing FAX and Voice Gateway-services over the Internet (dubbed Voice over IP). This refers to voice/fax signals effectively carried and transmitted thru internet designated means of transmission like fiberoptical lines and satellite links. The company is actively looking for international presences and created am accordingly structured advisory board to augment the development of VIP capabilities. Hitcom intends to start its first Internet-Fax Gateway between 98/Q4 and 99/Q1. In full deployment VIP (Voice over IP) solutions will enable the company to provide international Long Distance services at a fraction of current cost. This area of the industry is supposed to surpass traditional ways of providing long-distance services by the year 2005 according to various industry studies. Opportunities of rapid growth are exceptional in this segment, since the total worldwide long-distance industry is expected to move beyond $1 trillion value produced within the next 6 years. The share of IP-telephony is expected to grow from less than 0,1% to over 50% during this period.

EXCEL Switch VAR Services
-------------------------------
Future area of expansion, target: FY2000
The market for above mentioned telco-grade switching equipment currently represents a market shared between Excel Switching (Nasdaq: XLSW) and Summa Four (Nasdaq: SUMA). However the purchase of switching eqipment (e.g. telco grade hardware) alone does not enable a carrier or service-provider to immediately start routing calls and transactions over the switch. One of the main limiting factors in this area is the current industry-wide shortage of engineers to write the necessary software applications for those telco grade switching platforms. According to Hitcom, there are only a handful (less than 20) companies in the world with this capability. The current deregulation environment is expected to further severe this situation. To capitalize on the engineering capabilities Hitcom enjoys, the company plans to become a certified Excel Switching VAR, providing tailored Excel based solutions to third parties on a national as well as internaional scale. This strategy will allow the company to grow piggy-back with an industry-wide respected provider of telco-hardware.
