Announces Five Major Real Estate Deals Additions to Real Estate Portfolio Gives U.S. RealTel More Than 5,400 Properties CHICAGO, July 14 /PRNewswire/ -- U.S. RealTel (Nasdaq: USRT - news), the nation's largest landlord of antenna sites and telecom access rights to the telecommunications industry, today announced it has master leased the telecommunications rights for five large real estate portfolios, adding more than 600 new properties to its portfolio. The master leases give U.S. RealTel the rights to market and lease the telecommunications access rights of each individual portfolio and its properties to telecommunications companies. The master leases include the real estate portfolios of: * Glimcher Realty Trust [NYSE:GRT - news]: 121 commercial properties, including mega-malls, malls and community centers in 24 states consisting of more than 26 million square feet of gross leaseable area. * Archstone Communities Trust [NYSE:ASN - news]: 315 apartment communities owner or under development with over 93,000 apartments. * Summit Energy Corp.: 140 gas stations, primarily in California. These stations are situated along major roadways and high-traffic intersections. * Kwik King Food Stores, Inc.: 50 convenience stores in Florida strategically located along major thoroughfares and high-traffic areas. * Banyan Strategic Realty Trust [Nasdaq:BSRTS - news]: More than 100 buildings including 706,000 square feet of office property, 1,045,500 square feet of industrial property, 433,600 square feet of office/industrial property, 321,800 square feet of retail property and 350 apartment units. ''In certain types of locations, cellular telecoms need microcells to ensure that cell phones work in malls, hotels and other public gathering places.
