Since there are a lot of savvy investors/traders here on SI, I am sure travel is a way you like to spend your discretionary profits...

Since I have never been there, would like to plan a trip sometime to the Caribbean.. I have the Fodor books ordered from Amazon, but would like to hear real world experience of the good (and bad) places you have been too... places you have heard great things about, and places you have heard to stay away from.

Specific islands, resorts, and daytrips recommended. Something that incluses the beach, watersports, nitelife, and day trip exercusions would be especially appreciated.

Please no cruises :)
