Started By: Jimbostein Date: Feb 19 1999 12:57AM ET I'm starting this new thread to spread the word about an exciting new high-tech metal recyling company called Bioponic International. It trades under the Ticker BPON. I've spoken to the President Co-CEO Steven Shorr, (I live in the same town as their headquarters) and found him to be extremely confident of the prospects for his company. After checking out their Website, and reading an article in our local Marin County Newspaper which featured the company, I became equally bullish. I'm now committed long term to the company, and think it will make me a great deal of money. As always, do your own DD, but I'm very long on this company. To follow is a recent new release, for more check out their website at www.bionponics.com. BIOPONIC REPORTS BREAKTHROUGH IN METALS RECLAMATION TECHNOLOGY Steven M. Schorr, President of Bioponic International (OTC BB: BPON), announced today the opening of the company's first MR3 metals reclamation facility in Butte, Montana, for the selective extraction of valuable metals from industrial process streams. The first product to be processed at the new plant will be high-quality Zinc Sulfate Monohydrate, a micro-nutrient metal product which is an international commodity used extensively as a plant and animal nutrient. Over the coming three months the facility is projected to ramp up to an output of over 400 tons of zinc product per month. The company then intends to expand aggressively with additional facilities to extract zinc, copper, nickel, and other base, strategic and precious metals. Mr. Schorr was enthusiastic: "The MR3 process, incorporating 15 years of research and development, is truly representative of a new state-of-the-art metals recovery process." Originally designed‹and extensively tested‹to reduce the environmental load from heavy metals found in industrial metal hydroxide sludges, contaminated soil, cinders and slags, etc., the MR3 process decontaminates these materials, recycling the metal content. This new MR3 facility selectively removes undesirable metals from zinc-containing, raw feed stocks (e.g., dross, skimmings, turnings, fines, dusts) and recycles the zinc into Zinc Sulfate Monohydrate. Utilizing the MR3 metals separation capability, mixed-metal, raw industrial by-products can be used to feed the process from which multiple metal products can be produced simultaneously. In addition, even minor metals including contaminants can become products for re-sale, resulting in little or no waste. Feed stocks for the MR3 process are provided under an agreement with Friedman Metals Brokerage Co., of York, PA. Michael Friedman states that, "After several discussions with consumers in various industries, I am convinced that Bioponic's MR3 Division can sell all of the products they can manufacture." Bioponic International is a diversified technology development corporation principally engaged in the design, manufacture and integration of advanced environmental technology products and services. Bioponic International operates its business through two divisions: MR3 Minerals and AGS Systems. Detailed information on these technologies can be found at the Company's website, www.bioponic.com, or through "Company News-on-Call" at www.prnewswire.com. | ||||||||||||
