With the boom in trading and investing in general there has also been an accompanying explosion in trading of and investing in OTC BB companies. This is NOT the pinks. OTC BB is a level below Nasdaq small cap and a level above the pinks. And the OTC BB is garnering even more activity as the SEC alphabetically runs through existing Nasdaq/OTC BB stocks to compel all the companies to become fully reporting and current in their filings. By summers end all companies on the OTC BB will be fully reporting and current.

That in and of itself is a huge plus for investors. BUT, there is a downside here and that involves the level of service you receive from your broker and the level of service we all receive from the market makers. Due to increased trading volume I think that service is getting a little jagged around the edges both from our brokers and especially the MM's....in fact the mm's scarcely pick up their phones anymore...there has already been a notice sent out from on high instructing the mmakers to pick up that phone when it rings.

Part of this is due to just plain numbers. More people are investing/trading and more people are discovering the OTC BB (for better or worse). Add to that the ease of investing utilizing the web as an interface and you end up with a huge number of investors all trying to get the best level of service from both their brokers and indirectly from the market makers. See the front page of the WSJ today.

All of the above brings me to the following query....which brokerage house offers the best service for executing OTC BB trades?

As a baseline any broker listed here has to offer at least the following:

-has to be a discount broker
-has to allow OTC BB trades thru the web
-has to have a 'premier' level of service for frequent traders/investors
-has to handle trades over the phone w/o a 5 or 10 minute que
-has to be full service (funds, bonds etc..)
-has to have a manager(s) that handles disputes in a reasonable fashion
-has to have people in the office over the weekend
-has to have full pre market and after market capabilities utilizing at least 2 or 3 vendors

At least to my mind those are the minimums. I want to find the best spot to trade these stocks and I don't want to have to babysit each trade just because it is an OTC BB security.

So if your broker fits the bill for you please let me know here. I am looking for the best overall broker to execute OTC BB trades in a timely manner.

thx gary grobbel
