Saddam Hussein is in custody! There is dancing and singing in the streets of Iraq today. Horns honking. . . guns shooting into the air. People in the streets holding signs reading, "Congratulations all Iraqis". Shouts of joy ring throughout the country. He was hiding in a 6 by 8 foot "hole" (reportedly among rats and mice), under a farm house 10 miles from his home town of Tikrit. When coalition forces learned of his location, they immediately proceeded to the spot and captured him without resistance. His identification has been confirmed by the Iraqi governing board and others. He admitted to being the former president of Iraq. Where are the weapons? Where are the bodies buried? Could this be a Saddam impersonator? Or do we have him for certain? If Saddam, who was concerned with hygene, buried himself in a hole, it makes one wonder of the conditions with which Osama Bin Laden has been hiding? How can we find Bin Laden? What sort of justice should be passed? So many questions. . . He was reportedly not contrite, but sustained a mocking attitude, according to Iraqi governing board, who said he will first be tried in a civil court within Iraq. History is still in the making. . . Long live a free Iraq. Let's hear your opinions. . . Rande Is | ||||||||||||
