It is my opinion that if a government uses its totalitarian rule to force its citizen work under inhuman condition (like 12 hour work days no vacation or resting days or social benefits etc.) or uses jail forced (slave)labor with no pay with the purpose to undermine the economy of another country, or openly engage in stealing the resources of the other country (in this case intellectual property if from the US or EU or others) it is tantamount of a declaration of war on the other country.

It is the scam work from US financial institutes that harm your own nation. How many banks will collapse because of this ?

The mortgage practices in US were wildly abused in the past 5 years. Who will get the blame on this that hurt the whole world ? Should the rest of the world come and root out the parasites ?
You can print money as many as you wish to jack up the salary, until when ???

Listen carefully in why this forum exist in the first place.

Wow. This forum is a sad and somewhat amusing study in the pathology of the mind of man.All seeking some intangible need to be proven to be "exceptional" and superior to the"others".
Yet I can't look away....as all strive to preen and strut their intellectual prowess..it's like modern American pop culture, everyone's so wrapped up in their pathetic self centered egos. But I continue to eat my popcorn and watch. It's just a little better than what's on summer time tv.Mostly reruns.(The Olympic Games are so phony and just national grand standing,I'm bored to tears with their "fake importance").

hello haim,

(i) the fact you are jewish is neither here nor there. no need to hide behind that shield after you very specifically said you support the killing of chinese men women and children.

i would imagine jews of the ancient and true faith would be insulted by your antic.

besides, as many here know and know well, i am very proud of my jewish blood brothers, and so please do not dishonor their tribe

<<My parents and I were exiled into the countryside of China in 1969-1970. Their accounts were frozen, possessions taken. We were helped by friends in high places, but only to the extent of being placed in a villages controlled by peasnts (I use that word in gratitude) friendly to the forces of right, light, and human. Had that not been the case, my then 60 some year old dad would have perished under a tractor track, and now I a smartie pants BBC listening water melon sales assistant along the newly built expressways of China.

We had a one room mud hut, next to the pig pen, no light, no fresh water, no income, and no way out. Little Jay had a large jar of coins (oops, little Sausages) generating no passive Nausages, but enough to buy one year's worth of eggs, some hatching chicks, some for boiling, and some piglets, not for eating, but for selling. My father's Oxford education (no, like Richard Li, he did not graduate either, as he was too adventurous and lively for that routine) and my mom's St Mary's finishing, and the determination of a Shanghai lady and the optimism of a Trinidadian Creole Chinese man was reduced to doing the basics ... replacing paper window with translucent plastic (that caused a stir in the village, mixing innovation with perceived wealth ... oops, Nausages), doing some good for the villagers with little Jay's jar of Sausages, so that when the red guards came for my dad, with the tractor ready, the lawless and authority-less old world peasants gathered with sticks and stones.

Not exactly 1929 stuff, but dramatic enough for a 10 year old. The basic lesson is easy to learn, obvious to relate, and hard to forget.>>

(iii) the fact that you are jewish and lived under communist tyranny simply is more bothersome in that that you would, could, and did say this to me on 9/20/2003 post, and let me again quote

(iv) the fact that i remember what you said almost verbatim is indicative of how deeply your mutterings bothered and bothers me, and should bother all jews, chinese, and everybody else of clear mind and righteous thinking.

(v) the fact that you make no retraction should bother still more
Message 24839490 <<Please do correct me if I misunderstood your very clear statements>>.

Cheers, TJ

Haim, compare to you, me, and almost everybody else on SI, TJs life is an open book. You are terribly mistaken about him. As for his trades, they sound and feel much more real than any other trades I see posted on SI including yours and mine.

Looks to me that you have recommended an attack on China but you steadfastly deny being a war monger.
It is appalling what the Nazis and similar disgusting horrible people did to your life, but there is no need to blame that on Tobago Jack.
Nobody should ask you to forgive and forget. What happened to your family is unforgivable. But I don't see any connection to Tobago Jack who is an honest and kind man, whom I know personally.

Haim,
You have a very selfish and twisted logic.
Where do you want to start? Have you been to Wall-Mart or any other retail stores in US. Most of those stuffs are 'Made in China' by those poor suffering people for 'U.S Corporations'. Whom should we prosecute? So you have to Bomb China and Kill their people?
Why not Bomb US Companies, execute their executives and remove the government that enables it?

Who is paying for U.S's day-to-day survival via lending? China is one of the major lenders. You want to Bomb the guys you feed you?
Millions of poeple are suffering now because of these big powers all over the world, including in Iraq and Middle east. Should we bomb and kill everyone in US?

-J6P

It is my opinion that if a government uses its totalitarian rule to force its citizen work under inhuman condition (like 12 hour work days no vacation or resting days or social benefits etc.) or uses jail forced (slave)labor with no pay with the purpose to undermine the economy of another country, or openly engage in stealing the resources of the other country (in this case intellectual property if from the US or EU or others) it is tantamount of a declaration of war on the other country. This is not competition – as in actuality to mach the other terms the attacked country must force its own citizen to loose their quality of life work under harsh condition as if they where conquered by another exploiting power. This happen in WWII with millions upon millions of Europe nationals working for the conquering Country and in reverse under Stalin in Siberia, where not only USSR citizen where sent to forced labor camps.

Therefore the government of that same country is to be hold responsible and in extremes it entails a declaration of war. If one would go over the wars fought over the last 2000 to 3000 years he will recognize that is was all about resources and commercial routes and knowledge. So what is difference today when for example the knowhow of MSFT is plundered in day light with the tacit support of the government? And this is only one example that is easy to relate to!!

There is a huge difference between forcing hopeless workers to work in squalid places sponsored by the Country Government and the same by lawbreaking people who just exploit others for their gain and are faced with stiff punishment for their action and the workers are at the end reimbursed.

Hi Hiam:

1. Your posts and perspective are valued around here -- so don't leave.

2. We have no other Eastern Europe expert, and your call in the Euro was great.

3. Re badgering by TJ:

TJ is TJ. He is stubborn, and if he feels strongly about something he will rub your nose in it. You can:

a. Ignore him.
b. Repent and retract.
c. Leave.

I recommend a or b; c is cowards way out, and a loss to this thread.

As I may have mentioned I am a board member in local government. Last couple of meetings I got called some pretty nasty stuff by another board member, who sits right next to me. I have asked for my seat to be moved so I don't come to blows with this guy.

But I don't leave. Because I get things done, that might not be done otherwise.

Good things. Like preventing poisoners from coming to town, or buying our first "open space" park, or another large acreage purchase of development rights.

I put up with sh*t so good things can get done.

Suggestion: Put up with this sh*t, and share your views. They are needed.

And TJ needs a foil. Without it, he gets bored, and CB Ilane is just not entertaining enough for him, or IMHO strong enough.

Regardless, what ever you decide --

Be strong, well and happy.
